Coffins, urns and shrouds

Only bio-degradable materials areimage to follow
acceptable. We encourage minimal
use or total lack of metal and plastic fixings, toxic adhesives and
varnishes (which often contain high levels of formaldehyde).

Coffins can be made from many materials; for example, willow, bamboo, cardboard, straw, papier mache or recycled paper. Urns are produced in ceramic, clay, corn starch, rock salt and cardboard, and beautiful shrouds may be obtained, made from felt, wool or jute which are often hand decorated by the family and friends of the deceased.
